New 7 Virtues Perfume

We were perusing the Sephora website late at night (just like any normal person), when something caught our eye – a new 7 Virtues perfume!

7 Virtues is one of our favorite perfume brands, so we knew we had to check it out.

The new 7 Virtues perfume is called “Coconut Sun” and here’s what we know so far:

Release Date

7 Virtues first hinted of their new perfume on February 21, 2023. They posted an Instagram reel, with the caption: “Something very exciting is coming to @sephora tomorrow – any guesses? 👀🥥☀️”

On February 24, 2023, 7 Virtues officially launched their new perfume. The same announcement video was posted to Instagram, Tiktok & Twitter.

The Instagram caption gives the most information, saying: “Introducing COCONUT SUN! 🥥☀️ Our new scent is a dreamy summer holiday in a bottle, with enticing notes of coconut water, frangipani, fresh citrus, crisp sea salt, and gourmand vanilla.

We’re thrilled to be partnering with @charitywater for the launch of this scent – proceeds from COCONUT SUN will fund an entire clean water project for a community in Ethiopia.

COCONUT SUN is available online at Sephora now, click the link in our bio to shop! 😍”

Twitter gives additional details, stating the Coconut Sun perfume will be available in stores on International Women’s Day March 8th.

Where to Buy

The new 7 Virtues perfume, Coconut Sun, can be ordered from Sephora (as of the release date) or from the 7 Virtues website (starting March). Coconut Sun will hit Sephora shelves in-store on March 8th (for International Women’s Day).

7 Virtue’s Coconut Sun is available in a full-sized bottle (50 mL/1.69 oz.) for $88 or a travel spray (.34 oz.) for $32.

Canadian residents rejoice – Coconut Sun is available in both the United States and Canada.

When asked if it will be coming to Europe, 7 Virtues responded on social media that an announcement will be made soon!

Travel SPRAY?!

Yes, you read that right! A travel spray! This is big news because prior travel size perfumes from 7 Virtues came in a rollerball.

Although there are probably some who prefer a travel rollerball, most perfume users would probably agree that travel sprays are better. Travel spray > travel rollerball

7 Virtues must have listened to the feedback.

A 7 Virtues fan even commented on the sneak peek, saying “I ordered a travel spray size coconut today! So excited! I wish there was more options in a travel size spray….specifically santal vanille.“

One instagramer is optimistic about the new launch, saying “Coconut scent 😮😮😮 If anyone can do this smell justice it’s @the7virtues cuz if I smell one more trash coconut scent I’m goin bananas 😂👌”. The founder/CEO responded, giving more insight as to what went into the creation of the new perfume, saying: “it took 51 tries. 3 trips to London to meet with our brilliant chemists. Ever so patient with my needy ways. Lol. And a merge of two finals. One brought the salt air off the ocean. And the other the warm beach. Magical. And this beauty funds an entire water project in Ethiopia.“

A Dupe for a Popular Perfume?

Based on the notes listed for Coconut Sun, some are speculating this will smell similar to Beach Walk by Maison Martin Margiela. We have yet to smell Coconut Sun, so can’t comment on the similarities. But there are definitely similar notes.
