The Summer I Turned Pretty is a very popular television series based on the novel series by Jenny Han. It revolves around Belly Conklin, and her summer trips to a beach house with her mother and brother, where she reunites with her mother’s best friend’s sons, Conrad and Jeremiah. Over the course of the summers, Belly finds herself caught in a love triangle between the two brothers, and must navigate the complicated relationships that come with it.
The show portrays the challenges of growing up and discovering one’s own identity, as well as the importance of family and friendship. With a mix of drama, romance, and coming-of-age themes, The Summer I Turned Pretty is a captivating and relatable story for audiences of all ages.
The Summer I Turned Pretty is available only on Amazon Prime. Season 1 was released June 17, 2022 and Season 2 premiers July 14, 2023.
The Summer I Turned Pretty was undoubtedly made even more popular when Taylor Swift shared the Season 2 trailer, with the caption “Crying (Taylor’s Version)“. Taylor Swift’s tweet gained over 12 million views in less than a day.
The trailer of The Summer I Turned Pretty features several of Taylor’s songs – specifically “August” and “Back to December” (a sneak-peak from Speak Now (Taylor’s Version), which releases July 7.)
So Taylor Swift has collaborated with The Summer I Turned Pretty series, but she’s not the only one.
One of our favorite perfume brands, Skylar, also collaborated with the new season of The Summer I Turned Pretty. Skylar is the “official fragrance for the series”. From the press release:

We are already obsessed with Skylar perfumes, but are absolutely in love with this limited-edition packaging! Even better, they cost the same as the normal Skylar roller-balls ($30). Skylar is sold at Sephora, but The Summer I Turned Pretty perfume is only available on their website or Amazon.
